Gold Rush Festival

The town of McCormick was built on top of a gold mine and the area is rich in natural beauty, with three state parks and miles of Thurmond Lake shoreline. This event is the celebration of the Heritage Gold Mine and the history of McCormick with a parade, food, arts and crafts vendors along with rides and live entertainment to be enjoyed by all. This year they will be adding a Children's Home BBQ Beach Party for Friday evening and all day Saturday. Don't forget to rush to the Big O'Yard Sale before all the good buys are scooped up during the festival.
