Mercato has made it to the culinary scene of Charleston’s historic City Market with delicious Italian-American dishes. Classic dishes include pasta and pizza. Specialties of the house are Potato Gnocchi with slow braised short rib, cipollini onions and oven dried sweet tomato; Tagliatelle Bolognese with classic hearty veal meat sauce; and Pork Osso Bucco with Anson Mills creamy polenta, citrus gremolata and rosemary pork sauce.
