Jon Sharp's Walking History Tour

A fascinating and often emotional stroll through the Historic District of Beaufort, SC, one of the most beautiful and interesting and historic little towns in all of America by Jon Sharp, a former Hollywood actor and director who shipwrecked in Beaufort on February 18, 1992. Jon’s two-hour walking tour is a leisurely two-mile stroll amidst some of the finest antebellum homes in America. You will hear of Indian wars, massacres, pirates, slaves, planters wealthy beyond belief, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, a great fire, a catastrophic hurricane and the wonderful stories of the incredibly brave and tenacious people of Beaufort who lived through these times. You will be swept up in the 500 year story of Beaufort – the Jewel of the South – as told by Jon Sharp, whose passion for history is equaled only by his delight in telling it to visitors to our beautiful little town.

The tour begins and ends in front of the restrooms in the parking lot of the Downtown Marina. Tours are open to the public Jan.- May and Oct. - Dec.
