The Middleton Outdoor Center is located at The Inn at Middleton Place, a recipient of the American Institute of Architects highest award. The Inn's design is a contemporary counterpoint to the adjacent 18th Century Middleton Place. It was also recently voted one of the 150 Best places to Stay by National Geographic Traveler.

Discover more than America’s oldest landscaped gardens in this area of great natural beauty with a delicate ecosystem flourishing where rice culture once thrived. The property surrounding the Inn boasts a diverse habitat which beckons guests to explore the rich ecosystems by kayak, bike, horseback or hiking an interpretive nature trail. Guided tours are led by university degreed, certified and trained naturalists. Self-guided walking, biking and kayaking adventures are also available. Experience a day on our low ropes challenge course where professionally trained and certified facilitators will encourage you to move beyond your perceived limitations.
