Lake Juniper

Lake Juniper is a beautiful 300 acre lake constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It is a favorite of canoers and kayakers seeking solitude among the cypress and white cedars. Visitors can walk the boardwalk along the edge of the lake and see the hand crafted "waterfall" spillway at the dam. Access to the lake is through Cheraw State Recreation Area which also offers camping, cabins, group camps, trails, and golf.
