Patriots Point 4th Of July Blast

The New York Times calls it "...one of the best Fourth of July parties." What makes The Patriots Point 4th of July Blast so special and worthy of praise from the New York Times? For starters, our famous Flight Deck Fireworks. Where else in the southeastern USA can you see fireworks launched from the flight deck of a WWII aircraft carrier... the USS Yorktown? The Patriots Point 4th of July Blast starts at 4pm with a fantastic food court, beer garden and terrific children's area we call "The KidZone." The band Sideswiped comes on stage to get the party started. As the sun starts to set, a South Carolina all time favorite takes center stage... The East Coast Party Band. Grab a dance partner or join the group when the line dancing fun begins. Finally, all eyes are on the biggest star of the evening... the world famous aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. Dazzling fireworks are launched from the carrier's flight deck! The East Coast Party Band comes back on stage after the fireworks for more Friday night fun. Of course, the four ships, 25 aircraft, Congressional Medal of Honor, Cold War Submarine Memorial and Vietnam Base Camp are open for business.
