This more than 100-year-old town grew up around the CSX railroad in the northwest corner of Lexington County and is one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Bounded by Richland County on one side, Newberry County on the other, and Lake Murray to the south, it is situated so that all roads from the lake's northern shores lead to Chapin.
