Ideal Weather
South Carolina's climate is mild and humid. With the advent of spring in late March, the temperatures begin to warm and April finds the beaches buzzing with visitors. Memorial Day weekend signals the start of the summer season. Fall brings shorter days with lots of sunshine and cooler temperatures. Winters are mild with daytime highs generally in the 50s and nighttime lows in the 30s and 40s F. Occasionally there is snow, but mostly in the higher elevations. Ocean temperatures range from 45-85 degrees F.
