Now in its fourth year, a two-man tournament for male amateur players. The Friendship Cup is contested on the world famous Ocean Course, site of the 2012 PGA Championship, and the Jack Nicklaus-designed Turtle Point Golf Course. PGA club professionals from all across the U.S., along with three of their members, will tee it up during Kiawah Island Golf Resort National Pro Am from February 28 - March 4, 2010. The 72-hole stroke play event, sponsored by Club Car, will be held on four of Kiawah Island Golf Resort's championship courses:Pete Dye's world-famous Ocean Course, Jack Nicklaus' Turtle Point, Gary Player's Cougar Point and Tom Fazio's Osprey Point. The tournament format includes four-man best ball gross and net, as well as professional stroke play.

This annual tournament is played over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links and is the only PGA TOUR stop annually in South Carolina. The field is made up of the finest golfers in the world.
Harbour Town Golf Links was designed by Pete Dye in consultation with Jack Nicklaus and carries with it a bit of Scottish aire. As well as its noted historic significance, Harbour Town is recognized annually as one of America's top courses, and is repeatedly selected by the PGA TOUR professionals as one of their favorites.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation is the only tournament on the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. The 2010 tournament will take place May 13-16 at Thornblade Club (Greer, SC), The Carolina Country Club (Spartanburg, SC) and Bright's Creek Golf Club (Mill Spring, NC).
Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday's final round at Thornblade Club. Celebrities play once at each course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Professional winner of the overall 72-hole event will take home $108,000 from the total purse of $600,000. Amateurs and celebrities compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities, Inc.
Past celebrities include Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Catherine Bell, Joe Pesci, Luke Wilson, Dennis Quaid, John Elway, Wayne Gretzky, George Lopez and Gary Player, among many others. Celebrities play once at each course.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort will test the strongest field in major championship golf in August 2012, selecting the course for the 94th PGA Championship. By being named to play host to the season's final major, the Pete Dye-designed oceanfront layout will become only the fourth course to host each of The PGA of America's major championships -- the Ryder Cup (1991), the Senior PGA Championship (2007) and the PGA Championship (2012).
